First Sergeant

A native of Vineland, New Jersey, Master Sergeant Susan Antolini is a hornist with the United States Air Force Band of Liberty’s Concert Band, Liberty Pops and Marching Band.

Sergeant Antolini graduated from Vineland High School and continued her studies at Rowan University on a full scholarship, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education.  She has studied with Dr. Robert Taylor, formerly of the Cleveland Orchestra; Gene Standley, formerly of the Philadelphia Orchestra; and Camine Caruso.

Professionally, Sergeant Antolini has performed with the Metropolitan Opera in their 1986 production of Madame Butterfly.  She has also performed with the Pottstown Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra, the Atlantic County Symphony Orchestra, the New Jersey Brass Quintet, the Atlantic City Woodwind Quintet, the Atlantic Chamber Players and the Garden State Brass Society.   

After entering the United States Air Force in June of 1984, Sergeant Antolini was assigned to the Air Force Band of the East, McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey.  She has served subsequent tours with the United States Air Forces in Europe Band, Ramstein Air Base, Germany and the United States Air Force Band of the West, Lackland AFB, Texas.  In February 2000, she received her current assignment with the United States Air Force Band of Liberty.

Sergeant Antolini’s military awards and decorations include the Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, and received top honors as a John L. Levitow graduate of the Air Force’s Noncommissioned Officer Leadership School.
