Band of Liberty’s Commander
Selected For Promotion

Lieutenant Colonel (select) Larry H. Lang


Larry H. Lang, Commander and Conductor of the United States Air Force Band of Liberty, was selected for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel on October 4.

Lt Col (select) Lang entered the United States Air Force in January of 1990. He has previously served as Deputy Commander of the Air Force Band of Flight, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio; Commander of the Air Force Band of the Pacific, Elmendorf AFB Alaska; and as Commander of the Air Force Heritage of America Band at Langley AFB, Virginia. From July 2004 to June 2005, he attended Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, Alabama where he earned a Master of Military Operational Art and Science degree. Most recently, Lt Col (select) Lang assumed command of the United States Air Force Band of Liberty on July 6, 2005.
