From July to November of 2007 I was a Web Content Reviewer at Millipore’s headquarters in Billerica, Massachusetts where I assisted with the launch of their new e-commerce site, www.millipore.com.
Millipore unveiled a new branding initiative on September 17, 2007 featuring their new “M” logo and color scheme. The new site, which went “live” on October 20, 2007, is a major part of the company’s revamped visual identity. |

I worked closely as part of a team of content reviewers, Java developers, UI and QA specialists, graphic designers and e-commerce directors to modernize Millipore’s web presence. My contributions to this project were:
- migrating the entire FAQ page inventory (1200+ pages) via Lotus Notes content management system to new JSP server environment
- building and refining the site’s FAST search engine taxonomy structure for an online product catalog of over 8,000 items
- updating event schedules and building landing pages containing Photoshop-optimized logos and graphics
- updating and re-coding country image maps pointing to worldwide field sales rep pages
- monitoring and documenting database URL aliases, navigation templates, links and web surveys
- utilizing pass-through HTML markup capabilities (hand coding) within Lotus’s WYSIWYG GUI to create elegant code
- troubleshooting and repairing navigation, content and link bugs
