This mark was my first venture into logo design and corporate identity. The United States Air Force Band of Liberty, located near Boston, represents the Air Force with music to promote patriotism and pride. The seven stars, like an American flag's state stars, represent the six New England states and New York where the Band performs. The thirteen stripes/piano keys represent the original thirteen colonies. The blue-indigo shape has been interpreted not only as a piano, but also as an airplane wing or rudder, or one half of the Liberty Bell—all appropriate responses!
